ABOUT DR. WILLEMS
I am a board certified neurodevelopmental pediatrician. My journey in developmental disabilities started early during college when I worked for The Arc in group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities. I volunteered as a track and field coach for special Olympics for many years. These experiences cemented by decision to work within the field of developmental disabilities by achieving a medical degree and attending a pediatric residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (now Rutgers Medical School). I was then selected to serve an additional year as Chief Resident. I completed a neurodevelopmental fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and then co-founded Developmental Pediatrics Associates in NJ where I practiced for 16 years. I had the honor of being selected by patients as one of New Jersey’s “Top Docs” by New Jersey Family magazine as well as one of “America’s Top Pediatricians”, and most recently "PA Top Docs." I live in Yardley with my husband and three children and enjoy yoga/pilates, hiking, paddleboarding, and cooking with my family.
Long-term relationships with children and their families are the cornerstone of my practice. Watching my patients mature and develop are the most important and satisfying aspects of my medical career. My involvement in the special needs community has been and honor and a privilege. Thank you for looking at my website and considering an evaluation.
